The host of SBS Power FM, DJ Kim Taekyun welcomed Victory actress Hyeri after six years. It has been six years since she visited the Cultwo Show last time. Humorously, DJ Kim Taekyun also said Hyeri is fully determined to promote her film to which Hyeri replied that she does not often have the chance to meet audiences in person.
When she first went out on the streets to ask people if they knew about the movie, they genuinely didn’t know it had been released. Shortly after the laughter conversation with DJ Kim, actress Hyeri went on to introduce her new film.
Hyeri said that Victory is currently showing in theaters and receiving good responses and reviews from the audience. The actress further added that VICTORY is a warm and happy film that a wide range of people would like. She further went on to describe her role in the film. Hyeri said that she played the role of a Pil-seon, a school student who has ambitions of becoming a dancer in Geoje but she eventually becomes a cheerleader after meeting her Millennium Girls friends.
She promised that Victory would cheer on the audience. The host of the radio show also questioned the concept of the film and whether it evoked nostalgia like her film Reply 1988. Hyeri said that this film has more of a Y2K vibe. Meanwhile, the radio show’s host pointed out that it seems Hyeri likes projects that are set in the past. Hyeri said that people also think the same that she has a knack for projects with a retro feel.
Actress Hyeri also revealed that her newest film is set in 1999 when a high school junior girl who was born in 1982, has a dream of becoming a dancer. She emphasized that people born in the 80s can relate to this film. The SBS Power FM’s host also expressed his excitement to watch this film but he has not seen it yet.
Therefore, Hyeri insists he has to watch the film because there are a lot of songs. She said that her film Victory has a lot of classic songs with powerful theater music.
It is said that before taking the role of Pil-seon in Victory, Hyeri practiced 11 dance forms and prepared for four months. She also added that her K-pop girl group Girl’s Day members also praised her for her dancing skills. Hyeri revealed that alongside her the entire team of VICTORY has worked hard and put a lot of effort into making it a good film.
