For the unversed, Mr. Bachchan is an official remake of Bollywood film Raid starring Ajay Devgn, which was released in 2018. This film is inspired by the true events of the income tax raid on Indian industrialist Sardar Inder Singh. Undoubtedly, Mr. Bachchan has an intriguing plot.

Despite being a frame-to-frame remake of a superhit film, Ravi Teja’s Mr. Bachchan received negative reviews from fans and critics as well. Shockingly, the hardcore fans of Ravi Teja also rejected the film. This is why the film fell flat on its third day.

The its first day, Mr. Bachchan did a business of Rs 3.4 Crore, showing a dismal start at the box office despite releasing on Independence Day. On Day 2, the film showed a huge drop of 68.12 percent as it collected only Rs 1.1 Crore at the box office.

The third day was quite shocking for the makers of Mr. Bachchan as the film could not even touch the mark of Rs 1 Crore only two days after its theatrical release. On Day 3, Ravi Teja starrer Mr. Bachchan collected only Rs 0.86 Crore, sending shockwaves throughout the film industry.

Speaking of Mr. Bachchan’s performance at the box office in the overseas market, the film seems to be struggling in the overseas market as well because it has collected only Rs 2 Crores outside India. In addition, the occupancy rate of Mr. Bachchan also signals the struggling box office numbers.

Shockingly, the film that stars Ravi Teja in the titular role, Bhagyashri Borse opposite him, and renowned actor Jagapathi Babu in a key role, the film had only an 18.25 percent occupancy rate on Saturday, August 17, 2024. Reportedly, the morning shows of the film had even lower occupancy which was slightly improved by afternoon and evening shows. In the night, the occupancy rate for Mr. Bachchan was highest throughout the day but it was not enough to cover the ground lost.

Besides Ravi Teja and Bhagyashri Borse, actors like Abhimanyu Singh, Subhalekha Sudhakar, and Kishore Raju Vasistha are in the key roles. This film is directed by Harish Shankar who is being criticized by the moviegoers. Vivek Kuchibhotla and T.G. Vishwa Prasad bankrolled the film and it is filed under the People Media Factory banners. Mickey J. Meye scored the entire sound and music of Mr.Bachchan.
